9 photosDay-by-day itinerary
Day 1 · Arrival in Marrakech
Meet your arrival arrangements and settle into Marrakech. Keep the first day light after travelling, with an optional introductory walk if time permits. Your exact programme depends on your flight and accommodation check-in time.
Day 2 · Marrakech at your own pace
Spend the day discovering Marrakech, from its medina lanes and gardens to the atmosphere of Jemaa el-Fna. A local guide can help you understand the old city. Share your interests so the sightseeing plan balances walking, visits and free time.
Day 3 · Marrakech → High Atlas → Ait Ben Haddou → Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech for the High Atlas, with scenic stops along the mountain road. Walk through the earthen lanes of Ait Ben Haddou, then continue through Ouarzazate towards the Dades Valley for the night.
Day 4 · Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga
Follow the valley roads towards Tinghir and walk beneath the high cliffs of Todra Gorge. Continue to Merzouga, where the first dunes of Erg Chebbi appear. Settle into your desert arrangements and enjoy the changing light near sunset.
Day 5 · A full day around Merzouga
Keep a full day for the Sahara region rather than another long transfer. Explore the villages and landscapes around Erg Chebbi, with time for local music or a guided desert excursion. Camel riding and a camp stay can be arranged according to your preferences.
Day 6 · Merzouga → Ziz Valley → Middle Atlas → Fes
Travel north past the palms of the Ziz Valley, then cross the Middle Atlas towards Ifrane and Fes. This is a long travel day with breaks along the way. Arrive in Fes in the evening.
Day 7 · Discover Fes with a local guide
Explore the old medina of Fes, where workshops, neighbourhood markets and historic architecture sit within a maze of lanes. Plan the walking route with your guide and allow time for breaks. Entrance fees and selected monuments are confirmed in your quotation.
Day 8 · Fes → Volubilis → Chefchaouen
Travel north from Fes, with an optional stop at Volubilis before continuing into the Rif Mountains. Arrive in Chefchaouen and enjoy the blue medina at a leisurely pace. Overnight in town.
Day 9 · A day in Chefchaouen
Enjoy a full day without changing accommodation. Wander through the blue medina, browse small shops and take breaks in the squares. A short walk towards a viewpoint can be included if you enjoy walking and conditions are suitable.
Day 10 · Chefchaouen → Rabat
Travel south from Chefchaouen to the capital. Arrive in Rabat for time beside the Atlantic or a walk in its historic quarters. This overnight stop breaks the route towards Casablanca into a more manageable journey.
Day 11 · Rabat → Casablanca
Continue from Rabat to Casablanca, with time to explore the city and the Hassan II Mosque area. Interior visits depend on the day’s opening times. Stay overnight before your final departure.
Day 12 · Departure from Casablanca
Make the most of any free time before your flight. Your final transfer and departure schedule will be arranged around the airport and flight details you provide when confirming the trip.
